BACK IN PERSON
Run4Kids is back in person this year! Join us in Bayfield on 17 June, 2023, to help make a child's wish come true. All proceeds will be donated to the Rural Response for Healthy Children, working to support children and families. Register today!
The Run4Kids 5 km Run/Walk was started in 2012 to raise funds in support of children undergoing treatment for cancer. We were inspired by the story of Will Frassinelli, a VHS student who has been battling brain cancer for over ten years. Encouraged by the generosity of participants in the past Run4Kids events, we have sought out other children’s charities in the Huron County region. The event is sponsored by Virtual High School (VHS) and Virtual Elementary School, (VES) with support from the Optimist Club of Bayfield. All proceeds will be donated to the Rural Response for Healthy Children (RRHC) to support and train families and children as they navigate life. The success of the Run4Kids 5 km Run/Walk charity event is dependent on your support and generosity.
Rural Response for Healthy Children is a non-profit charity that serves Huron County families. Our work contributes to fostering a healthy community of trusted adults where children and youth thrive. Visit our website for more information.
Virtual High School (VHS) is a private, asynchronous, online high school offering high quality Ontario Secondary School Diploma credit courses. With a large and expanding administrative and content development staff in its Bayfield, Ontario office and an ever-growing complement of certified, remote teaching staff, Virtual High School is able to provide the highest quality online education to students.
Virtual Elementary School (VES) offers flexible online courses that adapt to individual learner needs. We support students, parents, and learning coaches with courses fully aligned with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum. Our course content reflects the cultural diversity of Canadian communities, and we are committed to upholding a culture that champions respect, integrity, perseverance, growth, and joyful learning.
The Bayfield Optimist Club is a volunteer group who works to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, our community, and in themselves. Ask anyone who has been a part of the village of Bayfield since the Club's formation in 1984 and they will no doubt have a memory of attending Optimist events, seeing their projects come to life, and supporting the Optimists in one way or another.
